Hi, I'm Joel Gamoran!
More importantly than being a Chef, I am a Dad of two incredible stud muffins Jonah and Benji! I live in my hometown of Seattle, WA.
My love for cooking started in high school! Cooking was an incredible way to deal with my teenage anxiety, bring people together and get girls attention!
I am both a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, and the Culinary Institute of Florence in Italy!
After working in restaurants for years, I discovered my true calling was really to inspire others to cook! I landed my dream job in New York City, and for ten years served as the National Chef for famed kitchen retailer Sur La Table.
In the big apple I become a regular Chef contributor on both NBC's Today Show and Good Morning America. Which led to my first cooking show “Scraps,” on A&E.
I soon released my first cookbook “Cooking Scrappy.” (Harper Collins, 2018) which highlights 100 totally waste free recipes.
Recently I launched my first business Homemade, a completely free live-streaming cooking school that allows anyone to start cooking!
